The Rytmik releases do a better job at letting the unmusical among us craft some audio creations that still sound pretty good, but it would take a lot of patience and practice to get comfortable enough to create a true masterpiece. And I'd consider recommending this to an uninitiated newcomer, but it's the kind of thing that's hard to get into without a full tutorial or previous synthesizer experience under your belt. They're all essentially portable music studios on the go, the kind of non-game software that only aspiring musicians or established chiptune composers would be interested in. Feel free to fit these doodles into your DSi or 3DS with my recommendation. But I like it in DSi form, and five bucks isn't too much to ask for what you'll be getting here. Doodle Fit's previously been made available in places like Apple's App Store, so I'll insert my default caveat here that buying this on iPhone is probably cheaper – if that's an option for you. That's snazzy, and more puzzle games should employ that idea – since it doesn't damage the underlying gameplay at all. Undoubtedly positive, though, is the game's novel visual options – though everything looks like you're using a pencil in a school notebook by default, you can use the options menu to change the entire look of the game to resemble a chalkboard, a sci-fi movie, an old '80s computer and more any time you want. 3 to my Switch would be perfect for occasions when I want to play a game but only have one level's worth of time.Doodle Fit isn't quite as challenging since you don't have to spin your pieces, so that could either be a turn-off for puzzler fans who want something tougher or a positive point for newcomers just getting into this type of game. When Nintendo ran its "Mar10" sale on Super Mario games on Virtual Console for Wii U and 3DS two months ago, I couldn't help thinking that adding Super Mario World and Super Mario Bros. ![]() ![]() ![]() With that said, I've been feeling the absence of staple features such as stored credit card information (no longer a problem) and, in particular, the lack of Virtual Console support. So, just to be clear, I'm a satisfied customer. I've divided my gaming time between titles such as Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove Edition and Snipperclips. Incidentally, my total lack of impulse control when buying video games just became a bigger problem.Īs a Switch owner, I've had a blast with Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Switch's eShop functions like a web browser, which means updates go live more or less instantly. You shouldn't have to download an update to roll this feature into your Switch. ![]() Wii, Wii U, and 3DS consoles have been able to hold on to your your credit card info for years. That this feature, considered the norm in virtually every other digital storefront, took this long too implement shows just how many corners Nintendo had to cut to get the Switch onto store shelves before the end of March, the end of their 2017 fiscal year. Before this week's update, you had to enter your name, credit card info, and billing address every time you made a purchase in the eShop, even during the same shopping session. Nintendo rolled out an update for the Switch this week that lets you save your credit card information in the eShop, facilitating smoother digital shopping (via Polygon).
